So since my school project's due on monday I'll probably be deleting this lj again on monday, but for now...

Been having a really crappy time coping with being back home after Geneva, I don't think this is anything new to anyone. I won't get into anything here but it's been a very 'glass half empty or all empty' time and I'm trying to turn that around but still not quite there yet.

So anyways, yesterday afternoon I was feeling particularly sorry for myself after an email convo (which wasn't anyone's fault, I was just taking things badly and the writer was actually trying to make me feel better), I left work to go to class and class was possibly the worst class I've ever had, with one person dragging the discussion constantly off topic and being incredibly bitchy and snarky about it to the other classmates who kept trying to drag it back, to the point where some left early, which really didn't improve my already low mood.

After class I went to use the school washroom before my long bus ride home. I try to avoid the school washrooms like the plague, because downtown campus is DISGUSTING. Glancing at the stall to make sure it's relatively clean, I notice a sticky note on one of the walls. 'Great,' I think to myself as I close the door, 'what sort of mean, hurtful washroom stall graffiti is this now?' Because we all know washroom graffiti, especially university washroom graffiti, it's always particularly mean for some reason, at least at my uni.

And then I see that all it says on it is 'you are beautiful!' Amidst all these other wall-scribbled comments about peoples' sexual orientations and prowess. No one had written anything snide underneath it. No one had defaced it in any way.

It's probably really sad that something like that could have made my day, but on the other hand, I think it's sort of awesome that it did, because it's such an easy, simple thing that anyone could do, and I think it meant more to me to see that no one had messed with it, just left it with its nice message.

Annnnnnnnnnd, then I got home and ceemonsterhad sent me flowers! So yeah I went to bed feeling better than I had in a long time. And I just wanted to mention that. It's the sort of thing that I wish I saw more often at uni :D

People, I only un-deleted this to get my internship reports for school off of it so that I could write up the report and hand it in to my prof this week. Now I'm getting new friends!

Am I keeping it then and trying again?

Dunno about that yet...

Retiring the lj (again)

I'm retiring this puppy again. It's just not working for me right now; all I do is whine in it, and it's causing problems with who's on my flist and what I'm saying in it and all this trouble I just REALLY don't need right now, so it's being struckthrough again for the second time in its life.

When the modlist is back up and running I'll ask to have x_catseyegiven access to the player comm so I can follow game discussions from there. If anyone wants me to read their personal ljs, ~~feel free to friend~~ x_catseye. Wow I totally had that backwards. I totally meant if anyone wants me to read their personal ljs x_catseye will friend you. That's how this works, dur, I totally remember that now. lol.

Other than that, I shall say buh bye and maybe come back when things cool down, but for right now I just don't feel this journal is helping me at all. The first time I retired it I was gone for nearly a year and I like to think it did me a lot of good so hopefully that will happen again.

ETA: Course it would help if I remembered how to delete the damn thing! Had too many T3s tonight so I will actually be deleting in the a.m. as I cannot keep my eyes open!

Had an hour long staff meeting (all admin department) today. In French. I understood more than I thought I would, but it's also fun when you don't understand cuz then you can bs your fellow intern. "hey, did you get that part where they were talking about firing people?" Not that either of us care even if they were talking about firing people since she has 8 work days left and I have 13.

Then we got champagne and snacks. Go figure. Boss says it's cuz they get tons of stuff like that (alcohol) from suppliers and like, DHL and the mailman and those sorts of people and they have to use them up before next Christmas.

Boss had three glasses of champagne in twenty minutes.

It is proving to be an interesting afternoon with drunk!boss. I pulled some docs out of a UNESCO file that had a film list in it, showed him the docs (pamphlets on screenwriting and 'writing cross-culturally') and asked if I could toss them because they are irrelevant to my files. His response: "Yeah, that's definitely garbage; you know what you do with those?" *takes pair of scissors and starts cutting them up*

*giggles*

Rainy today. I love it. I love the fact that I have a compact umbrella so I never leave home without it. This makes me happy. As does a fully charged IPod. And the fact that I'm nearly finished my work project!

wOOt! London is booooooooooked!

Okay so I don't actually get a holiday next monday, whoops. It's Fete National du Geneve next Saturday, which I thought meant that we get a day off in lieu of it being on a weekend, but apparently that's only if you're a full time employee.

But my boss was nice enough to let me take the day off anyway, AND I can make up the lost day by working an extra two hours the tues-fri each day when I get back, or coming in on the saturday. So I'll still get paid for full days!

So I will be in London from evening of July 31 until evening of August 3rd. Staying in Hammersmith since I just can't resist my old haunts there ;) Plans so far are to meet up with Els, go see something (lol don't even know what's playing there these days but as long as it's not Spring Awakening I don't care! I'm sure either Damian Humbley or Al Silber will be in SOMETHING LOL), go to Camden for Vietnamese Noodle Soup, go to Dress Circle for cds, go to Borders for books in ENGLISH!, go to whatever they're calling Virgin in Piccadilly now for more cds, go to Whittards to look for catnip teabags for mah babeeeees, go to some sort of muesum/art gallery, go to Pret for sammiches...

GAAAAAAAAAH! SO EXCITED!

I may also get my haircut since I think I should take advantage of a hairdresser who speaks English and i need my hair cut SO BAD.
